Just Plane Crazy!
I decided to test out my newly created 2D FTG (Fresh Take Games) Engine by creating a small game of one of my favorite genres - the 2D vertically-scrolling shooter or shmup. I'm still working on making some small changes/additions to it, but I'm releasing the initial version now so that I can get some feedback.
Planes flying through space, screens literally filled with bullets, time bombs, crazy sound effects, and four players simultaneously blasting everything in sight is Just Plane Crazy!
The bombs in Just Plane Crazy aren't your usual run-of-the-mill "blow up everything in sight" bombs...they're time bombs. Literally. If the on-screen action gets too hectic, use a time bomb to slow everything down, including the music and sound effects. But be careful, this time slowing power only lasts so long, and when the time slowing meter is running out, time starts speeding up until it goes back to normal.
Game Features
- 4-player simultaneous shooting action!
- Time-bombs that can slow down the action, for those really tough sections!
- 2 levels of intense gameplay, each featuring a boss.
- Fully configurable controls, with built-in support for keyboard and joystick.
- 4 levels of difficulty. For the best score try the "HARDEST" difficulty...Good luck!

Install Instructions: Simply extract the downloaded archive to a folder of your choosing, and run "JustPlaneCrazy.exe".
NOTES:
- DirectX 9.0c is required to play Just Plane Crazy. If you don't have DirectX 9.0c, you can get it here.
- If you receive an error message indicating that "d3dx9_37.dll" is not found, you can patch up your DirectX installation using this download. Simply extract the contents of the .zip file and run Install/DXSETUP.exe to install the required DLL.
